As a visual designer in China mainland with a few years’ working experience, I’m considering furthering my studies in an HCI program in the US. But I’m a little bit worried about my age since I’ll be around 30 after graduation. In China, it is not easy for a female designer to find a suitable position after 30 in a big company. Needless to say staying away from the industry for 2 years. I’d like to know if it is also true for the industry in the US.
